City of Chicago Data Portal

In 2010, the City launched its own data portal with stipulations that every city agency serve as a contributor. As a result, every agency is required to have an open data coordinator that serves on the City's Open Data Advisory Group. 

As of 2017, the City has published over 400 data sets on the portal (in addition to files, maps, charts, and other documents). Sample categories include FOIA requests, Community & Economic Development, Education, and Health & Human Services (correlative with city agencies).
